National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society is an organization to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, develop character and to encourage good citizenship in the students in secondary schools.

To be selected for membership in this organization certain criteria must be adhered to.

  • First a student must have a cumulative average in each subject of 85 or higher.
  •  If the student meets this requirement, the faculty will nominate students for this honor.
  • If nominated for this honor, the student will be given a candidate form to fill out on which students will give examples of leadership and character. This form will be signed by the student and their parent and returned by the date indicated on the form.
  •  Finally the faculty council will vote to accept or decline students for membership.
  •  If the student is accepted by the council, formal notices will be sent to the parents and student regarding the date and time of the induction ceremony in which the student must participate.‚Äč
