 At Winona ISD we strive to meet the needs of each individual student.
Our Special Education Department consists of administrators, diagnosticians, therapists, teachers, and aides. 

Child Find plays a vital role in identification, evaluation, and eligibility of students residing within the school district beginning at the age of three.  If you know of a child who may need special services, please contact our office or stop by for a Child Find Brochure, which provides information on identifying students who may qualify for special education services.  The Notice of Procedural Safeguards; Rights of Parents of Students with Disabilities explains the specific rights and responsibilities of the parent in the special education process.  This information can also be obtained through WISD’s Special Education Office.
