Mr. Justin Ketner 



Bio: 
Mr. Ketner is currently in his second year as the Director of Bands for Winona ISD. Previously Mr. Ketner was the music teacher for grades K-5 for Grand Saline ISD. Mr. Ketner also assisted with the Grand Saline “Mighty Indian Band” during the fall. Mr. Ketner is a native of Commerce Texas where he attended school from Kindergarten through his Senior year, graduating in 2007. He was a member of the “Sound of Pride”, the ATSSB All State Band and recipient of the John Philip Sousa Band Award. Mr. Ketner then attended Texas A&M University-Commerce and received a Music Education degree in 2011. Mr. Ketner completed his student teaching responsibility at North Lamar ISD. Mr. Ketner's first job after graduation was as a Junior High band director for Hamilton ISD in Central Texas. In 2013, Mr. Ketner and his wife, Adah, decided to return to the best scenery in Texas and moved back to East Texas. In 2015 Mr. Ketner completed his Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. Mr. Ketner enjoys spending time with his wife Adah and their two daughters Megan and Louisa. Mr. and Mrs. Ketner enjoy playing in the Lake Country Symphonic Band in Mineola TX.
