Winona ISD News

On June 15, 2020, the Winona ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to appoint Connie Gibbs as the newest school board member. Mrs. Gibbs fills the Seat 4 vacancy on the board after the resignation of long time member Headlee Daniels earlier this month.
As a newly appointed board member, Gibbs will serve on the board until May 2021 when a regular election will be held to fill the Seat 4 position.

“I have always had a passion and dedication for Winona ISD,” said Gibbs. “My 32 years I worked at the school were rewarding and I feel like by serving on the school board I can make a difference. I love our students, staff, and black and gold is in my blood! Go Wildcats!”

Connie was born and raised in Charles City, Iowa, and quickly found her way to Winona ISD where she has worked and lived for 32 years in various positions with the districts. Mrs. Gibbs retired from Winona ISD on January 30, 2016.
