Medication Administration is provided in the campus nurse's clinic only. No students are allowed to carry medications on their person or in their backpack. This includes, Tylenol, cough drops, vitamins, etc. Unless you have asthma, diabetes or anaphylaxis and have all of the correct documentation for self carry approval. If your child needs to take any medication while at school, bring your child's medication in the original pharmacy labeled container, in person and required paperwork to the campus nurse. There must be a physician signed prescription and parent signature on file, even for over-the-counter medications. These must be renewed every year.
If your child has asthma and requires an inhaler, please fill out an asthma action plan, medication consent forms and bring the rescue medication to your child's school clinic.
If your child has a severe allergy and requires intervention such as an Epi pen injection or Benadryl with exposure, please fill out the Severe Allergy Action Plan so that we are prepared to meet the needs of your child in case of an exposure or emergency.
Please feel free to contact your campus nurse for any questions. Remember we are working off your child's doctors' orders and need these forms filled out before we can administer any medications at school.
