Charles Moss is a transformational leader with over 16 years of experience elevating athletic programs and developing student-athletes into disciplined, high-performing individuals. Known for establishing a culture of accountability, toughness, and excellence, Moss has experience at both the high school and collegiate levels.
Before joining Winona ISD Moss, served as the Defensive Run Game Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach at Tyler Legacy High School in Tyler, Texas, where he played a key role in developing physical, fast, and fundamentally sound defensive line units. He previously served as Head Football Coach at Texas College, where he not only led the football program but was also selected as Chair of the Sooner Athletic Conference demonstrating his ability to lead at both the institutional and conference level.
Moss’s coaching journey includes impactful stops at West Texas A&M University, North Dallas High School, Capital High School, and Dallas Lincoln High School, where he coordinated one of the top defenses in the area. His ability to develop talent, build relationships, and create structure has made him a respected leader across multiple levels of football. In 2025, Moss was selected for the prestigious NFL Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Minnesota Vikings. During this experience, he worked directly with the defensive line gaining valuable insight into NFL-level operations and standards.
A former All-Conference linebacker and team captain at the University of New Mexico, Moss brings a player-first philosophy centered on development, discipline, and long-term success. He holds degrees in Criminology and Special Education, reinforcing his commitment to both athletic excellence and academic achievement.
Moss and his wife, Regina, are proud parents of two children and are deeply committed to making a lasting impact on the communities they serve.
