Hello WISD, Wednesday, the track team participated in the Area Meet in Winnsboro. We competed in the sprint relay, triple jump, shot put and the 4x200 meter relay. In this meet the top 4 winners advance to the regional track meet with an opportunity to advance to the state track meet in Austin. The sprint relay (Justin Johnson, Nate Hampton, Micheal Littles) placed 5th, Elijah Bergin received 6th place in the Triple Jump and Demarquay Ford got 7th in the Shot Put. The 4x200 meter relay (Nate Hampton, Elijah Bergin, Michael Littles and Justin Johnson raced to a 2nd place finish and qualified to run in the regional meet next Friday in Whitehouse.
