Welcome back Wildcats! We will start at normal time tomorrow, January 18th. We hope you all had a warm and safe mini winter break despite the recent storm. We are happy to have you back and ready to continue with your studies. We understand that the storm may have caused disruptions in your schedule, whether it be with travel or power outages. If you experienced any significant challenges during the break, please reach out to your teachers or school counselors. We are here to support you through any difficulties you may have faced. Let's use this return to school as an opportunity to re-establish your focus and dedication to your education. Use the coming days to catch up on any missed work, review any concepts that may need refreshing, and engage fully in our classroom discussions. Your teachers are here to assist you every step of the way. Finally, as always, please be cautious as you walk around the school grounds, especially if any icy patches are present. Your safety is our utmost priority. We look forward to seeing you all back in the classroom bright and early. Wishing you a fantastic day ahead!"

Due to safety concerns, Winona ISD will be closed on Wednesday, January 17th. After driving roads this afternoon we found many locations that were still covered in ice and will not be safe tomorrow morning due to the dangerously low temperatures in the teens. Ensuring the safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we believe it is in the best interest of everyone to not risk traveling county roads tomorrow morning. We understand that this may cause a minor inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in prioritizing the safety of our school community. We do believe conditions will be safe around noon tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, January 18th at normal time.
