Winona ISD Fine Arts
At Winona ISD, we believe the Fine Arts are a vital part of a well-rounded education. Our district is proud to offer a variety of Fine Arts opportunities to students at every grade level, helping them explore their creativity, develop confidence, and discover new passions.
Fine Arts programs at Winona include:
Music – General music instruction begins in elementary school, introducing students to the basics of rhythm, melody, and musical expression. As students progress, they have opportunities to join band or explore other performance avenues.
Art – Our visual arts program encourages creativity and imagination while building skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and design. Students learn to express themselves while gaining an appreciation for artistic techniques and art history.
Theater – Through theater arts, students explore acting, stage production, script work, and performance. Theater helps build communication skills, confidence, and teamwork in a fun, engaging environment.
Band – Beginning in 6th grade, students can join the band program, progressing through middle and high school with opportunities to perform in concerts, contests, and community events.
Whether on the stage, in the studio, or in the rehearsal room, Winona ISD Fine Arts programs inspire students to create, perform, and grow. We are committed to nurturing artistic talent and providing meaningful experiences that enhance both academic and personal development.
